Local Resource Mobilization Scheme

In 1980 Japanese resource team of Shapla Neer provided several training on agriculture development in Bangladesh. The chief of the Poverty Elimination Organization had received training on scientifically utilization of local resource for different community development. The community development of Shapla Neer now days are included with the development program of agriculture extension of Bangladesh. The chief of PEO and other workers have received more training from department of agriculture extension of Bangladesh in this regards. PEO follows that the hard core people and poorer people in Gazipur district who lives in the fringe of forest of Vowel are living below the standard of lively hood and they did not able too receive the blessing of development issue of the government and other NGO. They also collect drew leaf of Gojari tree everyday and sell to other people as a fire wood and for the purpose of removing their hunger. PEO has decided to reach them to increase their purchasing power and reduce their their poverty. PEO skilled worker reach them to aware and proposed them to receive the opportunities of PEO training and non cash savings idea. Firstly they did not believe to the PEO people. However after the cordial discussion and unique demonstration of the PEO people the hard core people of that locality have received the innovative information of PEO. PEO primarily access 30 members in this program. PEO provided training on compost making with neglected paper , ash of cook, neglected straw, neglected leaf and neglected vegetables which ever than used in the field of homestead gardening. PEO provided them training for cultivation of short term vegetables in the fellow land of government and others. It also provides the training about pigeon raring which naturally breeds 13 times within a year without any kind of family this program provided them a revolving fund also. Above mentioned activities of PEO the program has started in 2000-2001 financial year after three years PEO has got a unique result so more and more hard core woman whish to reach the PEO. Due to non availability of suitable support the PEO could not render this program as desired
